Sport student Angus Pitchford takes to the mic at CNG Stadium

Another great opportunity for Harrogate College students as our partnership with HTAFC goes from strength to strength.

Angus Pitchford, a second year sports student studying a BTEC Level 3 Sport programme at Harrogate College was invited to appear as the guest Match announcer Tuesday night’s Conference North’s league fixture against AFC Fylde.

Angus was on hand to introduce the players, announce the substitutes, and goal scorers in the 2-2 draw.

Sport tutor Andy Reah watched the match and said,

“Angus did a fantastic job, very professional and what a great opportunity for him.  The partnership between Harrogate College and Harrogate Town is really flourishing with our students gaining work placements in football coaching, sports media and Hospitality with many more still to explore, it’s going brilliantly!”

This fantastic opportunity will go towards the 30 hours unpaid work experience that all students must complete by the end of the year.
