Students create masterpieces in Christmas Skills Competition

It’s that time of the year when we start decorating our homes with Christmas trees and twinkly lights, and watch a variety of films to put us in the festive spirit.

But have you ever tried to decorate yourself?

Our Hair, Beauty and Media Make-Up students have been put to the test in their Christmas themed Skills Competition, in which students had to transform a member of their team; the only criteria being it had to be seasonal.

Students were allowed to do as much or as little as they wished, with some using full costumes to finish off their designs. The group were given two hours to begin and complete their creations, ready for judging.

“We’ve practiced Cindy Lou’s hairstyle every week since we came up with the idea!” – Holly, Media Make-Up student.

“The group worked extremely hard yet again, to bring together the skills they’ve picked up this term. I’m really proud of all of their efforts and I’m already looking forward to planning the next skills competition!” – Louise Stone, Media Make-Up tutor.
