Christmas Banquet Night in the Metro Restaurant

The Metro Restaurant hosted their final themed evening of 2015 with the Christmas Banquet on Thursday 17th December.

The restaurant was packed and had a lovely Christmas buzz about it, with family and friends of the students visiting to see them in action. The Learning Support staff also enjoyed their Christmas party and put the students to the test with an extremely long and raucous table!

As usual, the menu was varied and scrumptious; all designed and created by the Catering and Hospitality students. For me, the three course Christmas Banquet consisted of a fresh Seafood Cocktail, a perfectly crisped Beef Wellington and a very moreish Chocolate and Salted Caramel Fondant, but unfortunately it was all gone before I could take a photo!

Well done to all the students who worked extremely well as a team and a big thank you to Jason Parry and Rosie South. Sadly, it was Rosie’s last themed evening in the Metro Restaurant as she will be leaving us in January to pastures new. Rosie is opening her own Vegetarian Deli and Café in Ripon, so keep your eyes peeled for Treasure and Relish!
