Working in partnership with Red Dot Events and HIVE, the Harrogate International Visual Arts Expo, Harrogate College students had the opportunity to enter a competition that could have seen their work wrapped around a brand new Mini Clubman.
“We wanted to provide a quality art fair in the North where artists could sell their work, as we know that this is a massive challenge for artists. Harrogate was a natural fit as one of the owners of Red Dot Events grew up in and went to school in Harrogate!”
– Marlo Gilbert, Red Dot Events.
One of the sponsors of this event was Harrogate Mini, part of the Stratstone Group, who launched the Mini Clubman in November. Red Dot Events partnered up with them to bring Harrogate College, HIVE and Harrogate Mini together in an exciting art competition.
Students from Harrogate College were given the opportunity to submit a piece of artwork into the competition and the winner was selected by Mini UK to have their work wrapped on a new Mini Clubman and exhibited at HIVE.
This student was Scott Atkinson, studying on the BA (HONS) Photography course. Scott and his family were also given the Mini Clubman to drive for the weekend as part of the prize!
Harrogate College also exhibited at the Harrogate International Visual Arts Expo allowing the public to view the fantastic competition entries from the students.
