Sport students accept Gymnastics challenge

Students studying on the Level 2 Sport course at Harrogate College have embarked on an 8 week training programme at the Harrogate Gymnastics Club, also on Hornbeam Park.

The group began last week with a variety of fitness tests, that will be revisited in the last session to check on their improvements. The testing included a vertical jump, how many tuck leg lifts could they achieve in 30 seconds, a shoulder stretch, planking and a 25 metre sprint, along with many other challenging tasks.

The competition between the group was fierce as they all pushed themselves to be the best they could be; however only time will tell if their training over the next few weeks will pay off!
