As National Apprenticeship Week kicked off, young people and parents/ guardians were queuing to get into the Leeds Pathways Apprenticeship Event at the First Direct Arena, all eager to find out more about their future options.
The event, on Monday 14 March 2-16, was a three hour opportunity to shout about our offer and that was definitely achieved with some quality conversations had by the team, including Josie Guinness from Harrogate College and Keiran Cocker and Liam Jackson from HCUK Training.
“The turnout was incredible and my expectations were beaten! It was a fantastic event and an extremely important one for us to be attending. We didn’t stop talking all night!”- Josie Guinness, Harrogate College.
By the end of the evening, the team had gone through all the prospectuses, freebies and goody bags with guests still pottering around seeking out information. They even had a visit from three of our current Leeds City Council maintenance apprentices, Krishan Champaneria, Daniel Baxendale-Spoors and Dayne Hill-Hamilton along with Zoe Longley, who is a former apprentice but is now in full time employment with LCC.
