Staff knit squares for children of refugee camps

For the past couple of months, staff from Harrogate and Hull College have been busy knitting or crocheting vibrantly coloured and patterned 8 inch squares, that will go towards making blankets for children in refugee camps.

35 brightly coloured squares are needed to be able to create a blanket that will keep a child warm, and hopefully bring a smile to their face. The team at Harrogate College have created a wonderful 120 individual squares that will be sent off to contribute towards making over three blankets.

Initially an ASDAN project, the team have decided to continue their much needed efforts and the piles are currently building back up!

Thank you and well done!
