As part of their Level 3 Business qualification, the Year 2 Business students had to write a proposal and business plan for a new business that they’d like to set up.
Nigel Dakin from Harrogate Borough Council Enterprise came into College to look over the students’ business plans and discuss how they could improve but to achieve a distinction in this module, students had to present their business plans and proposals to a business manager at a bank, and the Harrogate branch of Santander kindly agreed to do so.
The students visited Santander’s Business Manager Paul Webster in the last week of term and were given Paul’s honest opinions, which were overall really positive.
“The students were fantastic at presenting their ideas to Paul, who at the end said that he would lend the students money if they did decide to set up their business! High praise indeed so thank you to the Harrogate branch of Santander.” – Carol Garland, course tutor.
