Case Study: Imogen Dickinson

Former maths student Imogen Dickinson recently popped back into Harrogate College, to let us know what she has achieved since completing her course in June.

Imogen Dickinson - FE Awards

Imogen began on an Apprenticeship through Disability Action Yorkshire alongside which she attended Harrogate College to improve her maths skills. Throughout her placement and college work, her confidence grew and grew and she left in June having achieved a certificate of recognition at Harrogate College’s annual Further Education Awards.

Since then Imogen has been working with Scope and embarked on a voluntary work experience placement with Specsavers in Harrogate, as the face of the store, meeting and greeting. With her larger than life personality, Imogen is perfect for this role and Specsavers agree! So much so, that Imogen is now employed as a valued member of staff.

It’s onwards and upwards for Imogen as she continues to progress her core communication, maths and English skills in her place of work and we hope to see her return to increase her maths further!

Congratulations Imogen, keep up the good work!
