Because that’s okay.
We’re a couple of weeks into the start of a fresh term at schools. sixth forms, colleges, universities and other training providers. You might be having the time of your life, which is fantastic, but you might also feel as though you’ve taken a wrong turn somewhere, whether it be the place you are studying, or the course itself…
It’s key not to panic! There are always choices and options available to you if you happen to have changed your mind, which let’s all remember, you’re allowed to do!
Here are a 3 top tips from us to you, to help you find your feet again.
- Take control– You’ve got a window of opportunity and the sooner you change path the better, as modules of works will start, assignments may begin and crucially, friendship groups will have been made. Take control and make a decision about your future and career, not just the next 2 or 3 years.
- Talk about it- Talk to your tutors, student coaches, parents/carers, friends and family. Talk to anyone who will listen, as they can offer you unbiased and impartial advice and options that you may not have even thought of.
- Assess your options- Check out other education providers such as College, which may not have been on your radar before. College is a different style of learning, where you are treated like adults. The emphasis is still very much on the learning, but it’s a more mature option as you will be expected to knuckle down without prompting from tutors.
