Fashion degree student Berenice Gilmour has been awarded the Achievement in Education Award at the Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards on Thursday 17 November 2016, at Elland Road.
Harrogate College degree student Berenice was nominated to win the award following her success with the Bridal Buyers Young Designer Competition in the summer, which saw her ‘Birds of Paradise’ themed bridal gown awarded first prize.
The Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards 2016 were established in order to reward and recognise young achievers in Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. The glamorous awards ceremony held at Elland Road welcomed over 500 guests, each with an inspiring story.
Berenice Gilmour juggles four children, an internship with Bridal Designer Anita Massarella as well as her demanding fashion degree which comes with a range of intensive projects and work.

Upon completion of her degree in BA (HONS) Fashion, Berenice Gilmour hopes to continue her study in Higher Education by embarking on a Master’s Degree in Creative Pattern Cutting at Huddersfield University.
