Art and Design students impress fashion designer at Charity event

Harrogate College Art and Design students were plunged into the fast paced world of catwalks and models, behind the scenes at the Princes Trust Fashion Dinner on Thursday 16th November.

The group of students volunteered to support at the fund raising event at Bowcliffe Hall in Wetherby, where their brief was to dress the models who were wearing a selection of stunning garments from Fashion Designer Amanda Wakeley’s current collection.

The students had the opportunity to work as part of a team and build up communication skills both with their manager and also the models. It was integral for the students to manage their time effectively and to ensure that their own individual model was equipped with the correct garment and accessories, in a timely manner.

“Wow! What a team! They were an absolute credit to the College, professional, hardworking, and so enthusiastic.” Bernadette Gledhill, Morton Gledhill.

“They are better than the dressers we had in London for Fashion Week” – Alex from Amanda Wakeley

The fashion dinner raised a magnificent £103,000 for the Princes Trust.
