Harrogate Advertiser, by Graham Chalmers

A former Harrogate College student star-studded debut movie is featuring in a special event at Everyman cinema next week. Bafta Award-winning Jane Linfoot, who lived in Harrogate for three years while studying for her A Levels and a foundation degree in Theatre Studies at the college on Hornbeam Park, will take part in a Q&A broadcast at Harrogate’s Everyman cinema next Tuesday at 6.30pm. Originally from York, she is the writer-director of new film The Incident, a psychological British drama starring Tom Hughes, who recently played Prince Albert in ITV’s Victoria. She also worked for a time at Harrogate Theatre before entering a career in TV and films, including working on the surreal black comedy TV series Asylum with Julian Barratt.
