Bistro on the Park, Harrogate College’s training restaurant welcomed over 65 guests to French Night on Thursday 2nd March, making it the most popular themed evening to date.
The atmosphere was buzzing with customers that included family and friends of the students, staff members and guests who just couldn’t resist sampling the four course menu, for just £12!
The Bistro team had been working tirelessly for days, preparing the food for the evening and working on their serving skills, ready for French Night. Guests were seated before Kir Royales were served with style, followed by a cup of classic Soupe a L’Oignon Francaise with crouton.
Next up was a starter of creamy honey glazed goats cheese with beetroot carpaccio or rustic style pork and chicken liver pate with pickled cornichons.
For main course was a choice of pan fried bavette steak with shoestring fries and whipped pepper butter…
Moules Frites cooked with shallots, white wine, parsley and of course garlic…
Or Confit de Canard served on a bed of bean cassoulet flavoured with Toulouse sausage and smoked bacon.
If the guests had any more room left, they were served with a delicious Assiette de Desserts which included a mousse au chocolat, mini apple tarte tatin and lemon posset.
Congratulations to our fabulous Bistro team on such a successful event! Next up is Irish Night on Thursday 16th March, 6.30pm where you can enjoy three courses for just £12. To book your table, please call 01423 878300 or email Bistro@Harrogate.ac.uk. View the menu here
